About Golden Counseling

At Golden Counseling, I believe every child and family has a unique story, and therapy should be a place where they feel understood, supported, and empowered.

Hi, I’m Haley Raper, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) specializing in child, teen, and family therapy. I am passionate about helping children and families navigate big emotions, behavioral challenges, anxiety, social struggles, and life transitions through a compassionate, evidence-based approach.

My clinical background includes working with children and families in developmental pediatrics, where I gained experience supporting children with a variety of developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs. This experience shaped my passion for helping children feel confident, understood, and successful while also equipping parents with practical tools to strengthen connection and support positive change at home.

I have specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and utilize child-centered, play-based approaches to meet children where they are developmentally. I believe children communicate in many ways - sometimes through words, and sometimes through play, behavior, and connection. By creating a safe and supportive environment, I help children build emotional awareness, coping skills, confidence, and healthy relationships.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and family-centered. I believe meaningful change happens when children and caregivers feel supported together, and I strive to partner with families to create strategies that work both inside and outside the therapy room.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my golden retriever, Boone, exploring new places, reading, and spending time with the people I love. I believe in the importance of connection, laughter, and finding moments of joy - both in life and in therapy.

I would be honored to support your family on your journey.
